Crafting College Admissions Essays
07/22/24 - 07/26/24
Mon, Tues, Thur, Fri | 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm
In the calm before the September storm, join Higher Ground for a writing class guaranteed to be a boon to students looking to get a head start on their college applications. Students will learn specific strategies to get over the hump of starting a college essay and will discover how to write more confidently and creatively. The class closely examines essay prompts and students gain insight by writing and participating in feedback sessions with each other and the instructor. All students, regardless of their writing level, ability, or confidence are welcome to enroll in the workshop, and advanced writers will be accounted for and pushed to succeed in ways appropriate for their needs. This class will also give an overview of the college admissions process. (Ages 16-17)
